| Synopsis | The 4:20 AM, a motorman, who drove the last train of yesterday and took a nap at the night-duty room, wakes up and leaves the room for work. Meantime, a group of mechanics returning from night duty show up at the end of a narrow, long tunnel. A stationmaster opens a rolling shutter door, rubbing his sleepy eyes. When all the lights turned on, it’s another morning on the underground. There are people who run this decent space “underground,” while everybody goes through the basement for life “on the ground” with busy steps. Under the noisy world today, we approach them to see how’s life in the underground. |

KIM Jeongkeun 김정근
He made his debut with Get on the Bus (2012), a documentary about the Hanjin Heavy Industries strike. Afterward, he made his second film The Island of Shadows (2014), which deals with the 30-year workers' movement history of Hanjin Heavy Industries.
