| Synopsis | Andre is a child who lives on Bangka Island. Andre envies of his friends who use mobile phones. Every day after school, Andre begins to earn money by mining tin. This film is taken from the life story of the director’s childhood. |

Rian is a film student at one of the film academy in Yogyakarta. He also studied films from various film communities in Yogyakarta. He was producing several short films for the task on his campus. The Tin Boy is the first film he sent to festival.
