The Territory
아마존의 수호자
- Generation Extinction
Synopsis | In the Brazilian Amazon, destruction has been continued by non-native farmers and illegal settlers pushing ahead with deforestation in the protected rainforest, illegitimately burning and occupying land. The Territory provides an immersive on-the-ground look at the tireless fight of the Indigenous Uru-eu-wau-wau people against the illegal land grab and tackles the imminent threat to the Amazon rainforest head-on. Partially shot by the Uru-eu-wau-wau people, the film relies on vérité footage captured over three years as the community risks their lives to expose the truth. Through vivid scenes following the events with intimate access to the figures, the film takes audiences deep into the Amazon. |
