| Program Note | The Oil Machine is a documentary that explores the economic, historical, environmental, and emotional facets of oil by shedding light on the conflicts surrounding oil in the Arctic. Has the age of oil truly come to an end? The lavish consumer goods around us seem to suggest that the end of oil is still far off. The film denounces the “oil addiction” we face today and prompts us to reflect on how we can break free from this addiction. |
