Minamata: The Victims and Their World
- Retrospective SIEFF
Program Note | By the 70's, environmental problems resulting from the high growth economics of the 50's and 60's had become widely recognized. One of the most devastating of these was the organic mercury poisoning created by Chisso Corporation in Minamata. There, we follow the lives of households who suggested mercury poisoining, as well as the growing movement to support their cause. |
