Synopsis Filmed over a decade, the film follows a community devastated by coal, starting with American Electric Power's buyout and bulldozing of this community. Returning several years later to the almost emptied town as we follow the case of 77 plaintiffs who have filed a lawsuit against AEP for cancer and other diseases they developed from working unprotected at the plant's coal ash landfill site, we see how one town suffers from our reliance on carbon energy.
Eve MORGENSTERN has an MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BA in Art History from Vassar College and has been awarded artist residencies at The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and at The MacDowell Colony. Her project Facades of Crises –photographs of homes across the country affected by foreclosure and declinehad its Museum premiere at Bildmuseet in Umea, Sweden.
