Masters: Legacy and Honor

Masters: Legacy and Honor’ is the section that draws the bigger, if not the same, attention of the audience than SIEFF’s Choice. It is also the core program that shows quality of SIEFF. In this years’ ‘Masters: Legacy and Honor’ section, we introduce three of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s early documentaries, Albert Serra’s Pacifiction,  Claire Denis’ White Material on a woman who fights against white people’s colonial resource exploitation, and Kim Ki-young’s Ieoh Island, the reenactment of mysterious events happened in early stage of development of the islands in South Korea. All the films in this section are followed by special talks with  the experts in each topic.
